Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before making a booking with AhangamaTravel.com. By using our website or booking any service, you agree to be bound by these terms.
1. About Us
AhangamaTravel.com is a travel services company based in Ahangama, Galle District, Sri Lanka. We organise and facilitate holiday packages, activities, and travel bookings for visitors to Ahangama and Sri Lanka's south coast.
2. Bookings & Payments
- All bookings are subject to availability and confirmed only upon receipt of full payment.
- Prices are displayed in USD and are per person unless stated otherwise.
- Payments are processed securely via Lemon Squeezy. We do not store your payment details.
- A booking confirmation will be sent to your email address within 24 hours of payment.
- Bookings are not transferable to another person without prior written consent.
- We reserve the right to adjust prices due to currency fluctuations, taxes, or unforeseen circumstances. You will be notified before any change is applied to a confirmed booking.
3. What's Included & Excluded
Each package and activity page clearly states what is included. Unless explicitly stated, the following are generally not included:
- International flights to/from Sri Lanka
- Travel insurance (strongly recommended)
- Sri Lanka Electronic Travel Authorisation (ETA)
- Personal expenses, tips, and gratuities
- Meals not listed in the package inclusions
4. Cancellation by You
Our standard cancellation policy is as follows:

All cancellation requests must be submitted in writing to info@ahangamatravel.com. The date of cancellation is the date we receive your written request.
5. Cancellation by Us
We reserve the right to cancel or modify a booking in exceptional circumstances such as natural disasters, extreme weather, government travel advisories, or if minimum group numbers are not met. In such cases, you will be offered:
- A full refund, or
- An alternative date or package of equivalent value
We are not liable for any additional costs incurred (e.g. flights, accommodation booked independently).
6. Travel Insurance
We strongly recommend that all travellers purchase comprehensive travel insurance covering cancellation, medical expenses, baggage loss, and personal liability before travelling to Sri Lanka. AhangamaTravel is not liable for losses that would be covered by travel insurance.
7. Health, Safety & Your Responsibility
- You are responsible for ensuring you are medically fit to participate in booked activities.
- You must disclose any medical conditions, allergies, or physical limitations that may affect your participation.
- Surf lessons, whale watching, snorkeling, and other water activities carry inherent risks. You participate at your own risk.
- You agree to follow all safety instructions given by our guides and activity operators.
- AhangamaTravel reserves the right to remove any person from an activity if their behaviour endangers themselves or others.
8. Third-Party Providers
Some services (hotel bookings via Booking.com, flights via TravelPayouts) are provided by third-party companies. These are subject to the terms and conditions of those providers. AhangamaTravel acts as a facilitator and is not responsible for the acts or omissions of third-party providers.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, AhangamaTravel's total liability to you for any claim arising from a booking shall not exceed the total amount paid by you for the relevant service. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or special damages.
10. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Sri Lanka. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Sri Lanka.
11. Changes to These Terms
We reserve the right to update these Terms and Conditions at any time. The version published on our website at the time of booking applies to your reservation.
